Problems with installation?
Unsupported Versions of Windows
If you get an error message when attempting to install DuckDuckGo on Windows indicating “this package is not compatible with the device”, try the following:
- Check to make sure you’ve updated Windows to the latest version.
- Note: DuckDuckGo for Windows requires Windows 10 (May 2020) or later.
Application Package Error Message
If you get an error message when attempting to install DuckDuckGo on Windows that says “Error parsing application package”, try the following:
- Download the following MSIXbundle installation file instead: https://staticcdn.duckduckgo.com/windows-desktop-browser/help-pages/DuckDuckGo.msixbundle
- Once downloaded, open the DuckDuckGo MSIXbundle in Downloads
- Select Install
